Appointment Announcements 2017
  • Laura Rainwater will serve as the new Whole Church Initiative Coordinator for the Mountain Sky Area.  Click to read more.
  • Dan Derryberry will be retiring effective July 1, 2017.  He formally served at Sheridan - First UMC.
  • Jim Barth has been appointed to Sheridan - First UMC effective July 1, 2017.  He formally served at Lovell UMC and Powell UMC.
  • Melinda Penry will serve as a supply clergy at Lovell UMC and Powell - First UMC effective July 1, 2017.  She is an UMC Elder from the Western North Carolina Conference.
  • Karin Lovgren will serve as a supply lay pastor at Basin UMC and Hyattville UMC effective July 1, 2017. She was formally a member of Cody UMC and is working toward her Local Pastor License.
  • Rev Robin Riley has been  appointed to Wheatland UMC and Chugwater UMC effective July 1, 2017.  He is an Am Baptist Pastor who formally served Wiley UMC in the Trinity District of the RMC. 
  • Rev Deb Olenyik has been appointed to Riverton UMC in Riverton WY effective Feb. 1, 2017. She formally served as Transitional Ministries Developer for the Mountain Sky Area and District Superintendent of the Wyoming District.

It’s likely you’re reading this as big red hearts and Valentine’s candy dominate the commercial scene. But as I write, it is still early January in the Rainwater home.
