LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING!
The youth at Torrington UMC had a soup lunch-in to raise money for a mission trip to Pine Ridge Native American reservation as well as a fun ice cream run to Cheyenne. Their goal was $500 and their pastor, Brian Kroeger, told them that if they exceeded that goal he would dye his hair blue. it was announced in church and everyone in the congregation wanted to make sure the youth exceeded their goal. They had the largest turn out in decades for a fellowship/fundraiser. "We had made two crock-pots full of chicken noodle, a pot of chilli, a pot of ham-hocks and beans and it was all gone in 45 minuets," said Pastor Brian. "The youth exceeded their goal by $160. The next Sunday we sold tickets at a dollar each for folks to come watch me get my hair dyed and there we raised another $100." Fun and exciting times in Torrington.
