Wyoming Quiet Disciple Award for 2015 is
GENE ROHRBECK from First UMC, Casper
Gene has been an active member of FUMC-Casper for over 36 years who states, "I really haven't done much". A former Sunday School Teacher, leader of a 2014 book study & past Chair of Church Council, Gene has most recently completed 50 hrs. of training to become a Stephen Minister, currently serves as Lay Reader and helps prepare & serve meals for Tuesday Night Mission dinners. In 1963, he & his wife Bonnie served as Peace Corps Volunteers in Uruguay. They have been back more recently to reconnect with host families in Sarandi del Yi. During one visit they helped students practice English at the Crandon Institute-Salto (Methodist). They both speak Spanish! Other MIssion trips include: 2008 Mississippi (post-Katrina) - 2009 Matamoros Mexico & 2012-14 WindRiver Indian Reservation. Gene Comments, "They taught me more than I taught them........it changes you - you're not the same person you were".

JERI CURRIER from Chugwater UMC
Jeri keeps busy with many activities, and recently retired as Chair of the Church Council and the Board of Trustees. She continues to head up our Education program and does an excellent job in this capacity. Jeri also helps coordinate the music for Sunday morning worship, and takes her turn playing the piano once a month. READ MORE

STEVE SISK from Sundance UMC
Steve is one of those people you want on your team – a dedicated Christian who puts his faith to work in his church and life. He is active in many areas of our church, serving on committees and as Administrative Chair and Lay Leader. He attends workshops and the Annual Conference – he serves on the Conference Board of Trustees. He is active in the Emmaus community and in several community organizations. READ MORE
